We propose that the Web3 Foundation create the new Polkadot Agents Program. An initiative grounded in the core values Polkadot stands for, with a flexible and resilient structure. It will be coordinated by the Foundation, while giving significant responsibility and ownership to its members in a fair and healthy way. Contributions to the ecosystem will not be rewarded with salaries, but through shared experiences and meaningful activities that bring members together.

Problem:

The community has shown incredible passion and energy, but it's clear that things haven't always been easy. It has often been difficult for people to contribute in a meaningful way. Now, as Polkadot reaches a key moment in its journey, we have the opportunity to build something solid, professional, and truly inspiring — a structure that not only supports real contributors but also promotes accountability, professionalism, and long-term impact around a shared vision.

Proposal:

The Web3 Foundation will coordinate a fully voluntary Polkadot Agents Program based on the following principles:

A clear structure of roles. A track-based system (for example, Content, Events, Speakers, Developers, etc.). Quick and transparent reimbursement process for operational expenses (e.g., travel and participation in key events). Focus on impactful expenditures that deliver value to the ecosystem.(e.g., technical workshops, dev onboarding, strategic content) Defined KPIs, onboarding processes, and internal reporting. Respect for a code of conduct and a strong sense of professionalism will be essential. We want to build a community of people who act with integrity, take their role seriously, and represent Polkadot with pride and responsibility. No salaries. Contributors may be rewarded through recognition, NFTs, and access to exclusive events and trainings. Future evolution toward decentralization with quality metrics in place.

Goal:

Improve the impact of Polkadot's community engagement efforts by allowing rapid fund deployment, ensuring a high standard of contribution, fostering regional leadership, and creating an accessible yet professional entry point into the ecosystem.
