2021 was a year of great achievements for the entire DotSama ecosystem. The promises outlined in the 2016 Whitepaper have finally come true. But all these results are not just the result of a single vision. It is a genuine and collective effort that united creative minds from the most diverse origins, cultures and countries.

This third episode of the series Behind the Code brings a little of that history. Told by its own protagonists. Teams that laid the foundations for something that will become even bigger. And that it will define the future in a much more radical way than we can predict today.

New business models will emerge from this new architecture that integrates multiple networks. Making the impossible more real every day. It would not be an exaggeration to say that DotSama launches, at the end of this cycle, the fundamental pieces for the infrastructure of the 21st century. And that everything the video shows is just the beginning.

"When Polkadot's story began to be shared, it was clear that the Blockchains environment would resemble that of the websites. That there would be many... many Blockchains... And because they are inaccessible, unrelated and so little connected that many opportunities would be lost. And so the interconnection, the interoperability, the thinking and the thesis behind Polkadot really appealed to me," says interviewee Ken Seiff, a partner at Blockchange Ventures.

Themes such as Decentralization, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Democracy, Formation of a World Community, Digital Identity, Privacy, Investments, Education, Technology, Governance and Market are part of the themes covered in revealing and thought-provoking interviews.

"The era of decentralized commerce is coming. There needs to be a Blockchain that crosses data and functionality in multiple ways. To bring us together. And Polkadot was designed for that," explains another interviewee, Dr. Feng Xiao, CEO of Wanxiang Blockchain .

All these themes and opinions form a multifaceted panel of what the network is today, with testimonials also from the teams that stood out in recent Parachains Auctions, including Acala, Astar, Kilt and Moonbeam.
