I wanted to share that I had the opportunity to run a Rust, Blockchain, and Polkadot workshop at the [University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez](https://www.uprm.edu/).

I think it was a great workshop to bring to university students who were new to all of Rust, Blockchain and Polkadot. We had people create not only their first Rust projects, but also their first blockchains with Substrate.

Unfortunately, due to timing constraints (holiday season mostly), we had to host the workshop the weekend before finals, which obviously affected turnout. That being said, this will def not be the last time we try this.

Problem Statement:
- Lack of knowledge and exposure to Rust, Blockchain, and Polkadot among university students.

Significance:
- Providing university students with the opportunity to learn about Rust, Blockchain, and Polkadot.
- Allowing students to create their first Rust projects and blockchains with Substrate.

Proposed Solution:
- Conducting a workshop at the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez to introduce students to Rust, Blockchain, and Polkadot.

Expected Outcomes:
- Increased knowledge and understanding of Rust, Blockchain, and Polkadot among university students.
- Potential for future workshops and educational opportunities in the field.
